Discovering talented international classic musicians who have both the attractive of Youtube performance and live performance
Qualifications: any nationality and no educational background required
welcome professional and amateur, 15 years old - 38 years old
Target instruments: piano,vocal, wind instruments (woodwinds and brass), string instruments, chamber music(a piano trios, a string quartet, etc.. within 5 people)
First round (entirely online):

How to enter
・Only online applications are accepted via the “formrun system”
・Proof of age verification (student ID, driver's license, passport, etc.) and a copy of the application form must be attached.
・First and second rounds are video screenings (only available on YouTube), and only videos recorded after January 2024 are accepted
・If your video is subject to copyright, please apply for it yourself. (As copyright laws differ from country to country, it is your own responsibility.)
・Video editing is fine. You are free to direct and edit in a way that brings out the best in classical music. We want you to listen to a live performance instead of just posting a video! Create an appealing video!
・Crossover pieces based on classical music are also permitted.
・The same piece cannot be played in all rounds.
・The state of the recording will also be taken into consideration in the screening process.
・If you exceed the time specified in the first and second rounds, your video will be judged up to the specified number of minutes.
・Videos cannot be re-uploaded or deleted after entry.
・If you are unable to submit your video via the formrun system due to an error or other reason, we will accept your entry by email.

Regarding travel and transportation coverage for final contestants
Final contestants from overseas: 50,000JPY for Asia, 100,000JPY for non-Asia regions
Japanese contestants living overseas: 25,000JPY for Asia, 50,000JPY for non-Asia regions

・In principle, travel and transporation coverage will be paid in JapaneseJPY by the secretariat after the performance at the final round
Those living in Japan and far away (residents outside the Kanto region): 2 nights and 3 days of subsidy will be provided at accommodations in Tokyo designated by our company only April 25-27, 2025

Accompanists
・Final contestants from overseas will be provided with accompanists from our company.
・Dates for accompaniment rehearsal (April 25, 2025 at Music Salon in Tokyo)
・Applies to the relevant person only.
・If an accompanist is brought along, our company will not cover the cost of accompaniment.
・If you are a resident of the Kanto region and would like an accompanist, we can introduce one to you (16,000 yen including the performance fee)
Terms
The copyright
・The copyright of all content regarding the competition published on the internet, newspapers, magazines and other media belongs to “Basel International Music Newcomer Audition 2025 in Asia’’
Visa
・Finalists must obtain the necessary visa for their visit.
・If a letter of invitation or other documents are required for visa application, the contestant must contact the secretariat.
Results
・The results must be confirmed individually by the contestants on our website.
Prize money
・Prizes will only be awarded if the contestants strictly adhere to the rules of our competition.
・Prize money will not be awarded to winners who do not attend the award ceremony.
Videos
・Please change the settings of the winning videos selected by our company from private to public.
Force Majeure
・In the event of a force majeure such as a natural disaster occurring on the day of the final, the final judging may be switched to an online judging.
Rule changes
・The Judges may change due to their circumstances.
・If there are more entry applications than expected. The number of Feedback will be diffrent.
・If changes to the rules are unavoidable due to global circumstances, the Organizing Committee of the Basel International Music Newcomer Audition 2025 in Asia reserves the right to change the rules.
Violations of the rules
・No questions or objections regarding the judging methods will be entertained.
・If forged or false identification is discovered, prizes will be revoked, legal action will be taken, and prize money will be returned.
・If any words or actions that defame our company are discovered, prizes will be revoked, legal action will be taken, and prize money will be returned.
About Expenses
・All expenses for participation in the Audition (communication, recording, accompaniment, transportation, accommodation, etc...) are to be borne by the contestant.
