No restrictions on nationality or academic background.

Age is determined as of the final day of the entry period.

In view of the increasing number of international participants and our commitment to maintaining the high professional standards of this competition, we have revised the participation fees effective this year.

* Select works that best reflect your musicality and artistry
* Unpublished works or original compositions are not permitted

・Yao  Jing : a flute teacher of the School of Music of Shanghai University, the guest chief of flute of Suzhou Symphony Orchestra, the guest chief of flute of Shanghai Opera House Symphony Orchestra, the director of the Orchestra Professional Committee of Shanghai Musicians Association
 
 
・Prof. Mayori Fujita :He is the representative of the woodwind ensembles Société and Ensemble Baroque Regina, a faculty member of the Pearl Flute School, an Executive Board Member of the Japan Flute Association, lecturer at Tamagawa University, and a Professor at Showa University of Music.
 
 
・Prof. EDUARD  SÁNCHEZ: a celebrated international soloist and a distinguished professor at the Music Conservatory of Barcelona

* Category 1st Prize winners: Selected performers invited (no participation fee)
* Other top prize winners: Selected invitations possible

* Copyright clearance is the responsibility of the applicant
* Follow the designated time limits
* Ensure adequate, adjustable recording volume
* Videos may be submitted as one continuous file or separate pieces
* Recording quality will be considered in evaluation
* No video changes after submission
* Unauthorized deletion of videos after submission is prohibited
* Submission order does not affect judging
* Prepare your application early
* In case of system errors, apply via email
* Significant application errors may result in point deductions

Terms and Conditions

* All media rights (internet, newspapers, magazines, etc.) belong to the Basel International Online Flute Competition
* Entries are accepted online only
* Applicants must check results on the official website
* If entries exceed expectations, the amount of feedback may vary by category
* Jury members may change due to unavoidable circumstances
* Feedback will be sent approx. one month after the competition
* Grand Prize and Second Prize winners must perform at the festival
(If unable to perform, prize money will not be awarded)
Instrument transportation and instruments must be arranged by the performer
* Festival performers are selected by the Executive Committee
* Prize money will be transferred within approx. two months
* Prize money is awarded only to applicants who fully comply with competition rules
(May be divided among multiple winners if necessary)
* International transfers include transaction fees
* Selected top winners’ performances may be made public
* Unauthorized deletion of videos during the competition period results in disqualification
* Prize money decisions are made by the Board of Directors
* If videos are deleted without authorization after prize money has been awarded,
prize revocation and repayment will be required
* In case of force majeure, the organizer may cancel the competition
* Global circumstances may require schedule adjustments or rule changes
* Personal information is strictly managed by the Executive Committee
* No objections regarding judging, scoring, or prize amounts will be accepted
* If an applicant engages in defamation, harassment, threats, false statements,
or any behavior that disrupts the competition at any time
(before entry, during judging, or after awards),
the organizer may enforce:
revocation of awards, return of prize money, bans on future participation,
or any measures deemed necessary
These measures have no statute of limitations and may be applied retroactively.
* No refunds will be made for any reason after the application is submitted.
