•A. Under 9 years old – within 6 minutes – 13,000 JPY
•B. 10 to 13 years old – within 8 minutes – 13,000 JPY
•C. 14 to 17 years old – within 10 minutes – 14,000 JPY
•D. 18 to 21 years old – within 13 minutes – 15,000 JPY
•E. 22 to 25 years old – within 13 minutes – 15,000 JPY
•F. 26 to 35 years old – within 15 minutes – 15,000 JPY
•G. 36 years and older (no age limit) – within 15 minutes – 15,000 JPY
(Age is based on the entry deadline date.)

•Free-choice repertoire (multiple pieces allowed).
•Classical music from Baroque to Contemporary.
•Participants should select pieces that best showcase their musicality and artistry.
•Unpublished works and original compositions are not permitted.

Awards & Prizes:
•Grand Prize: 200,000 JPY
•Second Prize: 100,000 JPY
•Total prize amount for top winners: 100,000 JPY
•Awards: 1st to 6th place in each category, Jury Prize, Encouragement Prize, Honorable Mentions.
Certificates:
•Domestic winners: Mailed.
•International winners: Sent digitally.
•Reissuance of certificates is not allowed.

•Invitation to Tokyo Ginza Oji Hall (Nov 2, 2025) and Basel Music Festival (Autumn 2025).
•Grand Prize winner: Invited to perform at the festival. Airfare and accommodation covered by the organizer.
•Second Prize winner: Invited to perform at the festival. Accommodation covered by the organizer.
•1st place in each category: Selected performers will be invited to perform at the festival (participation fee waived).
•Other top winners: Selected performers will be invited to perform at the festival (some ticket cooperation required).
•Opportunities for concert performances will be arranged for award recipients.

Entry Procedure:
•Applications must be submitted online via the formrun system.
•Ensure you can receive emails from formrun system and basel.harpconcours@gmail.com (check spam settings).
•Attach proof of age (student ID, driver’s license, passport, etc.) and proof of payment.
•Minors must obtain parental consent.
•Videos must be recorded after January 2024.
•Record performances in a music studio, salon, concert hall, practice room, or home.
•Perform from memory (no sheet music allowed).
•The full silhouette and hands must be clearly visible.
•Upload the video to YouTube or Bilibili and submit the URL.
•For YouTube, set the privacy setting to “Unlisted.”
•Title format: “Basel International Harp Competition 2025”
•Description must include: category, name, and repertoire.
•If performing copyrighted works, participants must apply for copyright clearance themselves.
•Videos must not exceed the time limit for each category.
•Ensure adjustable audio recording volume.
•Videos may be submitted as a single continuous recording or separate clips.
•The recording quality will be considered in the evaluation.
•No video changes are allowed after submission.
•Do not delete the video without permission after submission.
•The order of entry does not affect ranking.
•Please prepare in advance and submit early.
•If you experience an error in the web application, submit via email.
•Incomplete applications may result in point deductions.
•Always check the official website for updates.

Terms & Conditions:
•All media coverage (internet, newspapers, magazines, etc.) related to the competition belongs to the Basel International Harp Competition.
•Only online applications are accepted.
•Participants must check the official competition website for results.
•If there are a large number of entries, the number of jury comments per category may vary.
•The jury panel may change due to unforeseen circumstances.
•Jury comments will be sent via the formrun system approximately one month after the competition ends.
•Grand Prize and Second Prize winners must participate in the music festival. If unable to attend, the prize money will not be awarded.
•Selected performers for the music festival will be decided by the competition committee.
•Prize money will be transferred within two months after the competition ends.
•Prize money may be divided among multiple winners at the committee’s discretion.
●Conditions for prize money: Only entries judged by the Executive Committee to be excellent and worthy of winning a prize will be eligible.賞金の条件:実行委員会が優秀かつ賞に値すると判断した作品のみ対象となります。
•For international transfers, transaction fees are included in the prize money.
•Top winners’ performances will be made public.
•If a video is deleted during the competition period without permission, the participant will be disqualified.
•The competition board has the right to divide, revoke, or redistribute prizes based on the competition’s integrity and fairness.
•If prize money is awarded and the video is later deleted without permission, the prize must be refunded and the award will be revoked.
•The competition may be canceled due to force majeure circumstances.
•Competition rules are subject to change based on global conditions.
•Participants’ personal information will be strictly managed by the organizing committee.
•No appeals regarding scoring, prize money, or results will be accepted.
●No objections regarding scoring, prize money, or competition decisions will be accepted.
•Any defamation or misconduct towards the competition or organizers may result in award revocation and legal action.
•Entry fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
●The original requirements are in Japanese.
